Knowing the Process from Start to Finish

Becoming a successful canindate for hire is a process. It involves surveying and analyzing your skills and future goals, conducting a job search, selecting viable employment options, preparing a resume and cover letter that demonstrate your vaule to the hiring institution, and evtually preparing for and interviewing for the position possibly several times.

To learn more about conducting a job search see the Jobs section of our website. Once you have found the position you want you are ready to start the application process. It begins with updating your resume and contacting references, and researching the institution to which you attend to apply. You will have to carve out some time to prepare an application befitting your qualifications but this can be well worth it if you get the job. Most resumes are accompanied by a cover letter, and interviews should be followed by other correspondance.
